All American Football Player, Boise State 1960-62
Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1982

Wilcox played football for Boise Junior College in 1960 and 1961 and was a two-time junior college All-American. He later transferred to the University of Oregon and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL draft after the completion of his college career. He was named to the NFL All-Star team in 1971, 1972, and 1973. In addition, Wilcox was selected to play in the Pro Bowl in 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972, and 1973 before retiring from football in 1975.
