Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1984
Jake Jacoby became a three-time NCAA All-American in the high jump; twice indoor and once outdoor. He also won the 1984 NCAA outdoor championship in the high jump. In addition, he won six individual Big Sky high jump championships during his career. He won the Big Sky indoor high jump in 1982-89, and the outdoor Big Sky high jump during the same years. His best jump during those competitions was 7’5” in 1984. His best jump of 7’6” is the all-time BSU record and qualified him for the 1984 Olympic Trials. Jacoby finished sixth in the high jump at the 1984 Trails and finished third at the 1984 World Games.
