Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1988
Joe Aliotti quarterbacked the Broncos to the 1980 NCAA I-AA National Championship.  During his two years at Boise State, Aliotti led the Broncos to a 20-4 record. In 1979 he received first team Kodak All-American, and first team All-Big Sky Conference honors.  He was also named the league’s Offensive Most Valuable Player and the Top Newcomer of the Year.  In 1980 he again received first team All-Big Sky Conference honors.  Aliotti is the most accurate passer in Boise State history setting school records for passing percentage in a single game (.883, 20 of 24 vs. Idaho, 1979), a single season (.658, 144 of 219 in 1979) and a career (.639, 278 or 437). Aliotti finished his career with 3,460 yards and 32 touchdowns.
