Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1982
Larry Jackson played football and baseball for Boise Junior College and ran the tailback slot on the 1950 Little Rose Bowl team. He made junior college All-American in football during his sophomore year at BJC. Jackson later played professional baseball as a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies. He won 24 games for the Cubs in 1964 and finished his professional career in 1968 with 193 wins. After his baseball career, Jason return to Boise and was elected four times to the Idaho Legislature in the 1970s. He was a candidate for Governor in 1978.
