All-American Football Player
Ryan Clady was a consensus All-American, first-team All-America by four entities, including the American Football Coaches Association, second-team selection by four others, including Associated Press and Walter Camp, and named to the All-WAC first team.
During the 2006 season, he was named second-team All-America by SI.com and first-team All-WAC. He had a dominating season, starting all 13 games at left tackle and helped the Broncos finish the season second in the nation in scoring (39.69 ppg), second in rushing touchdowns (39), sixth in the nation in rushing (214.15 ypg), and 10th in the nation in total offense (420.62 ypg), while leading the WAC in rushing and finishing second in scoring and third in total offense.
In 2005 as a redshirt freshman, Clady was named first-team Freshman All-America by ESPN.com, second-team Freshman All-America by Rivals.com and CollegeFootballNews.com, and third-team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News. He would start 11 of Boise State's 13 games at right tackle and helped the Broncos finish ninth in the country in scoring (36.08), 19th in rushing (202.46) and fifth in rushing touchdowns (36).
Clady was a first-round pick (12th overall) by the Denver Broncos in 2008 and started 106 games in his NFL career with the Broncos (2008-15) and New York Jets (2016). Â He was named First-Team All-Pro in 2009 and 2012, a NFL Pro Bowl selection in 2009, 2011 and 2012, and a member of the Denver Broncos Super Bowl 50 team.
