Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1989


Scott Barrett is one of the top wrestlers in Boise State history. He won four Big Sky Conference championships from 1979 to 1982 in the 126-pound division. Making four consecutive NCAA national tournament appearances, Barrett completed his collegiate career with a second place finish at the 1982 NCAA national championships. His national runner-up finish is the highest placing ever by a Boise State wrestler at the NCAA tournament. Barrett’s career record at Boise State was 115-25-1, an 81.9 winning percentage. Following his college career, Barrett competed for the 1981 U.S. National Team and at the 1983 U.S. Olympic Trials.
