BOISE, Idaho – Hannah Redmon helped the Boise State gymnastics team open the season on a high note and is this week’s Bronco Athlete of the Week. Redmon took two titles at the Flips Invitational to lead the Broncos past WAC-rivals San Jose State and Sacramento State.

Redmon, a native of Sparks, Nev., opened the 2010 season with a pair of victories on the vault and in the floor exercise as well as finishing second for the all-around title by a slim margin. The junior scored a 9.90 on both the vault and the floor. Behind Redmon, the Broncos captured five of the top-7 spots on the vault.

The Broncos will return to action on Jan. 29 when they travel to Logan, Utah to face another WAC foe, Utah State.

This week will be a busy one for Bronco Nation as several teams are in action. On Wednesday, both basketball teams will play in a doubleheader at Taco Bell Arena. The women’s team will also host Hawaii on Saturday at 7 p.m. Both tennis teams will play in their season-openers as the men host Oregon at the Boise Racquet Club and the women travel to face Montana and Montana State on Saturday. The wrestling team will travel to Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Bakersfield for a pair of duals. The track and field team will host the BSU Duals in Nampa and the swimming and diving team plays host to in-state rival Idaho on Saturday at 1 p.m.
