BOISE, Idaho - Boise State redshirt junior quarterback Kellen Moore was honored by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Thursday (Dec. 9), as he was named the nation's top quarterback by the TDC for his role in leading the Broncos to an 11-1 overall record (7-1 Western Athletic Conference) and a share of the 2010 WAC Championship.

Moore has already been honored twice by the Touchdown Club of Columbus during his career, including being named a Player To Watch in 2009.

Moore, a Prosser, Wash. (Prosser HS) native, concluded the regular season as one of the top quarterbacks in the country statistically. He currently ranks second nationally in pass efficiency rating (185.0), having completed 245-of-345 passes for 3506 yards, 33 touchdowns and just five interceptions.

All of Moore's success during the regular season has led to a record setting year in which he broke several career marks at Boise State. Moore is already the school's all-time leader in career passing yards (10,528), pass completions (803), touchdown passes (97) and 200-yard passing games (33). He also finished the regular season tied for first in career pass attempts (1,181).

Moore will lead No. 10 Boise State to its ninth consecutive bowl appearance, Dec. 22 (Wednesday), when the Broncos take on No. 19 Utah in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas XIX. The game, which will air on ESPN, is scheduled for 6 p.m. (MST).

The TDC will recognize Moore with an award presentation during the 56th Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 5. Visit www.touchdownclubofcolumbus.com for more information.
