Broncos Complete Fall's Final Event

PRINCEVILLE, Hawai'i - Boise State men's golfers, junior Logan France and sophomore David Elliott, completed the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational three strokes back from the top 25, Wednesday.
France recorded back-to-back birdies on his final holes en route to a 1-under 71 and finished the Broncos' last fall event with a three-round score of 215 (74, 70, 71-- -1).
Elliott shot even-par in the final round at the 7,223-yard Princeville Makai Golf Club at the St. Regis Princeville Resort, making his three-round total 215 (72, 71, 72-- -1).
Senior Ty Travis (217, +1) and sophomore Kyle Mitsunaga (219, +3) posted the best final round scores for the Broncos, each finishing with a 3-under 69. Travis fired six birdies in the round and Mitsunaga recorded an eagle on hole 18.
"Today was a decent team day for us. Our short game will be a big focus this off-season and we still need to be a lot tougher to contend to win," commented head coach Dan Potter.
The Broncos carded a 7-under 281 Wednesday, the team's best round of the tournament. With an even-par 864 (293, 290, 281), Boise State finished 11th. Georgia Tech, ranked 11th nationally, shot 809 (-55) to win the tournament.
Freshman Tristan Rohrbaugh (75, 75, 77-- 227, +11) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.
Boise State will continue its season next spring.
