Broncos Conclude Saint Mary's Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. - Boise State senior men's golfer Ty Travis led the Broncos on the final day of the Saint Mary's Invitational Tuesday, finishing the 54-hole tournament 5-over and tied for 22nd place.
Travis recorded the best final-round score for the Broncos, concluding the round even-par after two back-to-back birdies on his final holes of the par-72, 7,104 yard Bayonet Golf Course. He concluded the tournament with a three-round total of 221 (71, 78, 72--+5).
The Broncos finished in 13th place as a team, finishing with a total of 905 (301, 303, 301-- +41).
"There was some progress in certain areas, but it was still a disappointing result," head coach Dan Potter said.
San Diego won the tournament with an even-par 864.
Juniors Logan France (78, 77, 74-- 229, +13) and Shane Allor (83, 72, 75-- +14), sophomore David Elliott (78, 76, 80-- 234, +18) and freshman Jacob Byers (74, 82, 80-- 236, +20) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.
To continue the fall portion of the 2014-15 season, Boise State will travel to Pullman, Wash., Sept. 29-30, for the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate Tournament.
