France, Broncos Finish Strong at Desert Shootout

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Boise State junior men's golfer Logan France finished tied for 10th place at the Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz., Saturday.

France concluded the tournament 7-under, notching 14 birdies total, with a three-round total of 209 (73,67,69) at the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Course.

"This was a solid team effort. It was great to see Logan finish off some good rounds. He's been working hard and this will be a good boost for his confidence. Everyone contributed to a positive week," head coach Dan Potter commented.

The Broncos finished the tournament in sixth place as a team with a total of 856 (290, 282, 284-- -8). Kansas shot 829 (-35) to win the tournament.

Sophomore Kyle Mitsunaga (69, 73, 72-- 214, -2), sophomore David Elliott (74, 74, 69-- 217, +1), senior Ty Travis (75, 69, 77-- 221, +5) and junior Shane Allor (74,73, 74-- 221, +5) rounded out the scoring for the team.

Next up for the Broncos will be the The Goodwin in Palo Alto, Calif., March 26-28.
