EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Boise State rallied from a 10-point deficit in the closing minutes, but could not reclaim the lead in a 72-67 loss Saturday, at Evansville in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge.

Chandler Hutchison scored eight consecutive points in 1:33 to bring Boise State (4-4) within two at 65-63 with 1:47 to play. After Evansville made one free throw, Nick Duncan drilled a three-pointer on the next possession to tie it at 66. Evansville (4-4) went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final 38 seconds to inch away and stay perfect at home this year.

Boise State led 32-30 at the break. Brown completed a 3-point play to give the Purple Aces their first lead in the second half, 41-40, at the 13:50 mark. They pushed that to 58-51 with 6:05 remaining.

Hutchison led Boise State with 19 points, including 13 in the second half. Duncan chipped in 13, including three triples, making him the sixth Bronco in school history with 200 made three-pointers in a career.

Robin Jorch posted career highs of 12 points and eight rebounds. Jorch grabbed six of Boise State's offensive boards as the Broncos outrebounded the Purple Aces but only converted them into eight second-chance points.

Boise State is now 3-1 in MW/MVC Challenge games.

Boise State continues its road trip Monday, at Loyola Marymount. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT/8 p.m. MT.
