Broncos Conclude Southwestern Jones

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. â€" Senior Logan France led the Boise State men's golf team at the Southwestern Jones Invitational Tuesday, a tournament hosted by Pepperdine that featured six of the nation's top 50 teams.
France carded rounds of 73-78-78 at the par-72, 6,992-yard Lakes & Oaks Courses at the North Ranch Country Club, finishing tied for 53rd with a three-round total of 229 (+13).
The Broncos finished 15th in the stacked field with a three-round total of 919 (305-305-309-919, +55), five strokes back of San Diego.
"We got off to a bad start in round one and it never got better," head coach Dan Potter said. "We are still early in our season, but we obviously have a lot to figure out going forward."
Junior Travis Evans posted the Broncos' lowest final-round score, shooting 75 (+3) to finish with a 54-hole total of 230 (78-77-75, +14). Junior Kyle Mitsunaga (78-73-79-230, +14), sophomore Jacob Byers (76-80-77-233, +17) and freshman Alex Francois (80-77-79-236, +20) rounded out the scoring for the Bronco contingent.
USC won the team title with a 26-under 838, while the Trojans' Andrew Levitt took home medalist honors at 8-under.
The Broncos will continue their spring season at the Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz., March 18-19.
