Bonfilio Finishes in Top 25

TACOMA, Wash.-Kinsley Bonfilio's debut to the 2017-18 season may have been delayed, but the junior returned in strong fashion as she finished in the top 25 - tied for 23rd - at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, Tuesday.
Bonfilio shot 234 (79-76-79, +18) to lead the Boise State women's golf team with her third career top 25 finish, on the par-72 6,020-yard Tacoma Country and Golf Club. The Boise-native moved up the leaderboard thanks to strong play on the par-4s - finishing tied for seventh in the 80-individual field (4.23).
The junior also carded one of only four eagles recorded in the entire three rounds of the tournament.
Boise State continued their progression over the tournament, posting a lower score each round, to finish 12th. The Broncos shot a combined 947 (324-312-311, +83).
Freshman Lexi Perry continued her strong fall season, finishing a stroke behind Bonfilio at 235 (82-77-76, +19). Perry would finish tied for 28th, and her third round score of 76 was the lowest of the day for Boise State.
Fellow freshman Alejandra Lobelo shot 239 (81-79-79, +23) while sophomore Valentine Lacaze was a stroke back at 240 (83-80-77, +24). Lobelo and Lacaze finished 44th and tied for 45th, respectively.
Ivane Helias (82-81-85 - 248, +32) rounded out the scoring for Boise State. Nicole Suppelsa - competing as an individual - shot 245 (83-81-81, +29).
Boise State will close out their fall season at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
