BOISE, Idaho - For the second time in three weeks, Boise State CB/KR/PR Avery Williams has claimed the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week honor. The conference announced his latest recognition Monday morning, commending Williams' special-teams wizardry in Thursday's 52-21 victory over Colorado State.

Against the Rams, Williams had a direct hand or personally set up four Bronco touchdowns. He directly created Bronco touchdowns with a pair of blocked punts, recovering the first in the end zone to open the game's scoring, then having the second snagged by linebacker DJ Schramm and returned 20 yards for a score with just over a minute left in the first half.

Williams set up two more Boise State touchdowns with his punt returns, with two of his returns ending up in Colorado State territory and leading to Bronco scoring drives. For the game, Williams averaged 12.1 yards over seven punt returns, with a long of 33.

Monday's announcement marks the fifth time he has taken home the conference's weekly special teams honor. He was previously recognized Nov. 2, for his Halloween performance at Air Force, in which he had an 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

After Thursday's performance, Williams' now has seven special-teams touchdowns (four punt return, two kick return, one blocked punt return) and five blocked kicks over his Bronco career.

Boise State (3-1, 3-0 MW) travels to Honolulu to face Hawai'i (2-2 MW) this Saturday at 9:02 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network.
