BOISE, Idaho - Senior wide receiver CT Thomas was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Honor Roll Tuesday, in recognition of his standout performance in this past Saturday's 49-30 win at Air Force.
Thomas, a Lancaster, Texas, native, and preseason candidate for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, made his two receptions at the Academy count, as both went for touchdowns. On the game's opening play from scrimmage, Thomas hauled in a career-long 75-yard pass from Jack Sears to get the scoring started for the Broncos, then added a 26-yard touchdown grab in the final minute of the third quarter to stretch the Bronco lead to 18 at 35-17.
Thomas' two catches went for 101 yards, marking his third-career 100-yard receiving game. He shares the team lead with two touchdown grabs so far in 2020, and paces the Broncos with a 30.5 yard-per-catch average.
No. 21/23 Boise State (2-0, 2-0 MW) hosts No. 9/9 BYU (7-0) Friday night at Albertsons Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:55 p.m. and will be broadcast on FS1.
