Perry Posts Second-Straight Top 10

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Junior Lexi Perry notched her second-straight top-10 finish, and third for the season, Tuesday at the BYU at Entrada Classic. Perry shot an even-par 72 to finish the event at +8 (77-75-72=224) and tie for 10th. The finish is on the heels of a fifth-place effort at the Rio Verde Invitational from Feb. 21-23.
As a team, the Broncos came in 12th, finishing 87 strokes over par (319-312-320=951).
Despite opening her final round with a bogey on No. 13, Perry immediately got back to even with a birdie on the 150-yard, par-3 No. 12. After seven-straight pars, she birdied the par-4 No. 4 hole, but bogeyed the par-3 No. 8 before closing with four pars.
Fellow junior Nicole Suppelsa shot her tournament-best round Tuesday, coming in at 4-over (76) to finish at +23 (85-78-76=239). Freshman Taylor Koch finished tied for 36th at +19 (75-76-84=235).
Senior Valentine Lacaze (88) and freshman Elena Pany (90) rounded out the Broncos Tuesday.
North Texas swept the team and individual titles, finishing at +11 (290-283-302=875) to win team honors, while Lauren Cox took home medalist honors at even par (72-69-75=216).
Boise State returns to action March 30-31 at the Fresno State Classic in the San Joaquin Valley.
