Joel Schneider Returns as Director of Football Operations

BOISE, Idaho – Joel Schneider, a mainstay on the Boise State football staff, is returning in 2021, Bronco head coach Andy Avalos announced, Sunday.
 
"Joel Schneider has been an instrumental part of the Boise State football program for several years, from operations to logistics, and keeping the wheels moving in every aspect," Avalos said. "He has been instrumental for us in our transition, and providing a bridge for us as we welcome a new staff."
 
"As a Boise State alum and an Idaho native, I'm extremely honored and humbled to be able to serve this program, university and community," Schneider said. "The tradition, culture and people make this place so special to be a part of. I'm excited to see these young men grow and develop under the leadership of this staff."
 
Schneider became director of football operations at Boise State in March 2018. He organizes, plans and coordinates all aspects of team operations. He is the liaison between football and various departments within Bronco Athletics. Schneider manages a team of 30-plus full-time interns and student employees to ensure all team needs are met.
 
Prior to his current position, Schneider spent 10 months as Boise State's football operations coordinator. He produced daily, monthly and yearly schedules for staff and student-athletes and oversaw the creative department of the football program.
 
Schneider began his Boise State career as a graduate assistant for football video in 2015-16. He earned his bachelor's degree from Boise State in business administration in human resources management and entrepreneurship management in 2014. He also earned a master's degree in athletic leadership from Boise State in 2017.
