Eleven Broncos Land on PFF All-MW Team

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State placed 11 student-athletes on the 2021 Pro Football Focus All-Mountain West Team, tied for the most among all institutions in the conference.
Sophomore placekicker Jonah Dalmas and senior wide receiver Khalil Shakir headlined the Broncos' honorees, earning first-team accolades. Shakir also notched a spot on the third team as a punt returner.
A Lou Groza Award semifinalist, Dalmas has made a school-record 26 field goals, the second-most in conference history, and his field goal percentage of .929 (26-of-28) is tied for fifth nationally. Dalmas received a third-team nod a year ago.
Shakir is a first-team honoree for the second-consecutive season after landing on the third team in 2019. His 1,117 yards receiving rank third in the Mountain West and his 77 receptions are fourth.
Junior quarterback Hank Bachmeier, junior safety JL Skinner and sixth-year senior center Jake Stetz were named to the second team.
Redshirt sophomore running back George Holani, redshirt senior safety Tyreque Jones, redshirt senior linebacker Ezekiel Noa, redshirt senior offensive lineman John Ojukwu, sixth-year senior offensive lineman Uzo Osuji and sixth-year punter Joel Velazquez notched third-team honors.
Boise State is bowl eligible for the 24th-consecutive season and expects to be invited to a bowl game when selections are announced, Sunday.
