BOISE, Idaho – Beginning with Saturday's 2022 home opener against UT Martin, Boise State Athletics will raise a "Blue Chaos" flag before each football game at Albertsons Stadium.

The ceremony will take place in the northwest corner of the stadium immediately after the coin toss.

The inaugural honoree selected to raise the flag is Quintin Mikell, a standout in the Broncos' secondary from 1999-2002.

Mikell finished his career with 401 tackles, which still ranks second all-time in the Boise State record book.

After signing with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent in 2003, Mikell spent 11 seasons in the NFL, including the first eight with the Eagles.

He was named Philadelphia's special teams MVP in 2005 and 2006 before starting at strong safety from 2007-10.

He was a 2008 NFL All-Pro Second Team selection and named to the 2010 Pro Bowl. He played with the St. Louis Rams in 2011-12 and the Carolina Panthers in 2013, finishing his career with 697 tackles and 12 interceptions.
