DALLAS – Boise State offensive lineman Mason Randolph garnered his second All-America honor, being named to the 2022 Football Writers Association of American Freshman All-America Team, the FWAA announced Thursday. He was tabbed to the 2022 College Football News Freshman All-America Second Team in December.
The Yorba, Linda Calif., native started all 10 games in which he appeared at right guard in 2022. He boasted the highest pass-blocking efficiency score (99.5) among all MW offensive linemen with a minimum of 300 snaps and did not allow a sack in 302 pass-blocking attempts, according to Pro Football Focus.
Randolph is just the fifth Bronco to receive an FWAA All-America nod and the first since Curtis Weaver in 2017. He is the first Boise State offensive lineman to earn the accolade and the first Bronco on offense since current Boise State assistant coach Matt Miller in 2011.
