Chung Garners Ford Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Leia Chung, a sophomore, has been named the Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 11-17.
 
A member of the Bronco women's golf team, Chung tied her career-low score of 210 (-6) and tied for third place, the highest individual finish of her career. This is the third-lowest 54-hole score in school history and marks her second career top-five finish.
 
Chung carded a 68 in the opening round, which ties her for sixth in school history for the lowest individual round score. She shot a 70 in the second round, giving her a two-round total of 138 that ranks second in school history.
 
Her performance Helped the Broncos finish fourth with a team score of 861 (-3). This is the second-lowest three-round score in program history and is one stroke shy of the school record. Through 36 holes, the team stood at 575 (-1), the lowest two-round score in program history.
