Hudson Qualifies for Cross Country Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Joe Hudson qualified for the 2023 Division I Men's Cross Country Championships the NCAA announced on Saturday.

The race will take place at Panorama Farms Cross Country Course in Charlottesville, Va., on Nov. 18. It will begin at 7:30 a.m. MT and will be streamed on ESPNU.

The first four finishers within the top 25 at regionals who do not belong to an automatic qualifier or an at-large team automatically advance to the championships. Thirty six individuals automatically qualify and two are chosen at-large, making 38 the grand total. The two at-large selections are the highest placing individuals at a regional that were not automatic qualifiers.

Hudson is an All-Mountain West and All-West Region selection, being one of two Broncos this season to earn the honors.

The senior led the men's team to a sixth-place finish at regionals as he traversed the 10-kilometer course in 29:25.1. He placed 11th and was the top Bronco finisher for the third time this season.
