Change in Leadership for Boise State Football

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Sunday that Andy Avalos has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the football program. Defensive coordinator Spencer Danielson will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

"I am grateful for the passion, effort and dedication Andy has given to our community and his alma mater while serving as our head coach," Dickey said. "Andy will always be a Bronco and we wish him and his family all the best in their next steps."

A national search for a new head coach will commence immediately.
