Jeanty Earns ESPN First Team All-America Honors

BRISTOL, Conn. – Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty has earned ESPN First Team All-America honors, being recognized as an all-purpose player on Thursday.
 
Jeanty averages a nation-best 164.9 yards from scrimmage per game. That is identical to his all-purpose yards per game average, which ranks him second in the country. He is the first player since 2016 to total 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in 10 games. The sophomore has scored 19 touchdowns and is the only player in the FBS with multiple rushing touchdowns of 50+ yards and multiple receiving touchdowns of 50+ yards.
 
Jeanty has earned All-America honors from six outlets this season, all listed below:

  • ESPN First Team All-America (All-Purpose)
  • USA Today First Team All-America (All-Purpose)
  • Action Network Second Team All-America (Running Back)
  • AP Second Team All-America (All-Purpose)
  • CBS Sports Honorable Mention All-America (Running Back/All-Purpose)
Jeanty was also named MW Offensive Player of the Year and was selected as one of five national finalists for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. He is one of four MW players to earn ESPN All-America honors and the lone First Team selection.
 
The Broncos play UCLA in the Starco Brands LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk on Saturday, Dec. 16. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. MT at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The game will air nationally on ABC.
