Holani Named Ford Student-Athlete of the Week

BOISE, Idaho – George Holani, a redshirt senior on the Boise State football team, has been named the Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 13-19.
Holani ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns against UCLA in the Starco Brands LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk. This included a 66-yard score, his 26th career touchdown. The Broncos ran for 215 yards, the most UCLA allowed in a game this season.
The Bellflower, Calif., native pushed his career rushing totals to 3,596 yards on 685 attempts, ranking fifth in program history in both categories. He added 777 receiving yards and 106 return yards to total 4,479 all-purpose yards, the 10th-most in school history. On Dec. 19, he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.
This is the second time Holani has been named Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week. He was also selected on Nov. 22 after a career-best rushing performance against Utah State. Fellow Bronco running back Ashton Jeanty also earned the honor twice, garnering selection on Sept. 27 and Nov. 29.
