College Football Network recognizes dominant sophomore duo from Boise State
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Postseason awards for Boise State continued to roll in Tuesday as a pair of Broncos were named All-America by College Football Network. Ashton Jeanty received first team honors while Andrew Simpson was named third team.

This marks the first national postseason honor for both sophomore Broncos.

Jeanty played in 11 games and ran for 1,262 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 6.2 yards per carry and 114.73 yards per game. He added 552 receiving yards on 39 catches and five touchdowns, averaging 50.18 yards per game and 14.15 yards per catch. Recording 1,814 total yards from scrimmage, he enters bowl season ranked second in the nation as well as second nationally in all-purpose yards (164.91 yards per game).

Simpson received third team honors as he enters bowl season ranking 17th in the country in fumbles recovered (2) and ranked 71st in the nation by averaging 0.50 sacks per game. He ranks third on the team with 60 total tackles through 13 games this season with 15.0 tackles for loss of 61 yards including 6.5 sacks for a loss of 38 yards. Simpson was credited with six QB hurries on the year and registered two interceptions, including one in the Mountain West Championship Game.

The duo helped lead Boise State to a record fifth Mountain West Championship last weekend with a 44-20 dominating win at UNLV. Now the Broncos turn their attention to UCLA, who they will face in the Starco Brands LA Bowl hosted by Gronk on Dec. 16. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. MT/4:30 p.m. PT at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California with the game airing nationally on ABC.
