Albertsons Stadium North End Zone Project Moves Another Step Forward

BOISE, Idaho –The proposed renovations to the north end zone at Boise State's Albertsons Stadium continue to progress this month. The Idaho Division of Public Works (DPW) posted the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on May 30 for DPW Project Number 23201 – Albertsons Stadium North End Zone Addition. Submissions to provide design-build services on the project are due today. DPW will administer the project according to the terms and conditions of the award, state laws, and applicable policies.
The RFQ is a key step in realizing the vision of Boise State Athletics and the Athletics Master Village. The north end zone project is one of the 12 key priorities identified by athletic director Jeramiah Dickey in August 2022.
"Our thanks to the State Board of Education, DPW, the university and all those who have made an investment in Bronco athletics," said Dickey. "Your support is vital to moving the project forward. We recognize this is just one step of many, but it will impact everything we do moving forward to position Boise State for long-term competitiveness and sustainability."
The project description for the north end zone project, as outlined in the RFQ, will infill existing bleacher seating on the north side of Albertsons Stadium with premium seating including loge boxes and field-level suites, additional general admission seating, and construction of a dining hall and club room for Boise State University student-athletes.
The north end zone project will address current structural deficits to improve the fan experience including: improving entrance efficiency and limiting or eliminating queues at the stadium gates, expanding premium seating with new field-level suites, improving concourse circulation, adding additional restroom facilities and concession stands.
The project is subject to modification based on the results of the programming phase and the final scope of work will be determined through the design process. The proposed timeline identified by DPW is outlined in the table below.
