BOISE, Idaho – Several former Boise State players will be hitting the field Sunday as the National Football League enters its second week of play.
Here's a look at the Sunday Week 2 schedule of Broncos in the NFL:
Sunday, Sept. 17
Raiders at Bills (Khalil Shakir) – 11 a.m. MT – FOX
Chargers (Scott Matlock) at Titans – 11 a.m. MT – CBS
Jets at Cowboys (DeMarcus Lawrence, Leighton Vander Esch) – 2:25 p.m. MT – CBS
Commanders (John Bates, Chalres Leno Jr.) at Broncos (JL Skinner) – 2:25 p.m. MT – CBS
Dolphins (Cedrick Wilson Jr.) at Patriots – 6:20 p.m. MT - NBC

Week One Action
Last week, eight former Boise State players saw action in the opening week of NFL action with six of those eight making starts.
Alexander Mattison (Minnesota Vikings)
Mattison started at running back for the Vikings and had 11 carries for 34 yards while catching three passes for 10 yards. He scored on a four-yard pass from Kirk Cousins in the fourth quarter in a 20-17 loss to Tampa Bay. Mattison was on the field for 47 of the 64 offensive plays the Vikings ran.
Ezra Cleveland (Minnesota Vikings)
Cleveland started at left guard for the Vikings in their game against Tampa Bay, playing all 64 snaps in the game.
John Bates (Washington Commanders)
Bates started at tight end for the Commanders in a 20-16 win over Arizona, playing in 37% of the snaps (26 snaps total).
Charles Leno Jr. (Washington Commanders)
Leno Jr. was on the field for every offensive snap in week one, starting at left tackle and remaining there on all 71 snaps.
Scott Matlock (Los Angeles Chargers)
In his first career appearance in the NFL, Matlock saw action on 11 defensive snaps (16%) and six special teams snaps (19%) in a 36-34 loss to the Dolphins.
DeMarcus Lawrence (Dallas Cowboys)
Lawrence started at defensive end and was on the field for 43% (30 in total) of the snaps in the game. He was credited with a sack for a loss of nine yards, one of seven sacks the Cowboys had against the Giants in a 40-0 win. Lawrence was also credited with a QB hurry.
Leighton Vander Esch (Dallas Cowboys)
Vander Esch started at linebacker for Dallas and saw action on 48 defensive snaps (69%) and two snaps (8%) on special teams. He finished the game with six total tackles, ranking third on the team as the Cowboys registered a 40-0 win over the New York Giants.
Khalil Shakir (Buffalo Bills)
Shakir saw action on 10% (seven in total) of the defensive snaps and on 23% (six in all) of the special teams snaps as the Bills dropped an overtime heartbreaker, 22-16, to the New York Jets.

Leighton Vander Esch (Dallas Cowboys)
Vander Esch started at linebacker for Dallas and saw action on 48 defensive snaps (69%) and two snaps (8%) on special teams. He finished the game with six total tackles, ranking third on the team as the Cowboys registered a 40-0 win over the New York Giants.
Khalil Shakir (Buffalo Bills)
Shakir saw action on 10% (seven in total) of the defensive snaps and on 23% (six in all) of the special teams snaps as the Bills dropped an overtime heartbreaker, 22-16, to the New York Jets.
