BOISE, Idaho – Spencer Danielson announced the addition of two members to the coaching staff on Tuesday.

The Broncos added Stiles Satterlee to an assistant linebackers position and welcomed back Chris Strausser as a senior offensive analyst after serving for eight years in the NFL.

Stiles Satterlee, Assistant Linebackers Coach
Satterlee arrives in the Treasure Valley after spending the past three seasons at UC Davis. He spent his first two seasons with the Aggies as a defensive quality control coach before elevating to a full-time assistant coach on the offensive side of the ball for the 2025 campaign.

Last season, the Aggies finished the year with the 10th best offense among FCS teams, generating 454.8 yards per game. UC Davis was particularly dominant in the air, finishing 12th nationally in passing offense with 270.8 passing yards per game. The Aggies finished the season with a 9-4 record and reached the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs. While working on the defensive side of the ball, Satterlee helped the defense finish third in the Big Sky allowing 23.1 points per game in 2024. Working closely with the linebackers, he aided in the development of FCS Walter Camp All-American David Meyer.

Stiles had a stellar career for the Claremount-Mudd-Scripps football program from 2018-22. A four-year starter and three-time captain, he showcased his versatility by playing both defensive back and outside linebacker. He was named first-team all-conference as a defensive back as a junior and as an outside linebacker as a senior. Stiles played a pivotal role in claiming two SCIAC Conference Championships and helped the squad hold the seventh-ranked defense in the country as a senior.

Chris Strausser, Senior Offensive Analyst
Strausser rejoins the Bronco coaching staff for his third stint with the Broncos. He previously worked as Boise State's offensive line coach from 2001-05 and returned to the Treasure Valley to work under Chris Petersen as the tight ends coach in 2007. He was promoted to assistant head coach, offensive line coach and run game coordinator in 2010, serving in that capacity for a total of four seasons before following Petersen to Washington.

Strausser played a huge role during one of the most explosive offensive periods in Boise State history. Between his two stints with the Broncos, Strausser compiled a 132-24 mark and won a combined eight conference championships. From 2010-12, Boise State was the only team in the nation ranked in the top 10 nationally in fewest sacks allowed in all three seasons. He was crucial in the development of all-conference players such as Daryn Colledge, Matt Hill, Charles Leno, Matt Paradis and current offensive coordinator Nate Potter.

He brings NFL experience to the program, having most recently worked as the offensive line coach for the Houston Texans from 2023-24. Strausser helped the squad reach the divisional round of the NFL playoffs in both seasons. Before his time with the Texans, he spent four seasons in the same role for the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts finished second in the league with 149.4 rushing yards per game in 2021, with running back Jonathan Taylor claiming the league's rushing title. Strausser got his NFL start in 2017 as an assistant offensive line coach with the Denver Broncos, before elevating to the team's offensive line coach the following season.

Strausser followed Petersen to Washington in 2014, where he served as the associate head coach and offensive line coach for three seasons. He also spent a season as the offensive line coach at Colorado in between his two stints with the Broncos. Prior to joining Boise State, Strausser had stops at Portland State, San Jose State and Sonoma State. He began his collegiate coaching career as a wide receivers and tight ends coach at Menlo College before becoming a graduate assistant at Oregon State prior to the 1990 season.
