Brock Forsey, the school’s career touchdowns leader, leads off home schedule
BOISE, Idaho – Former Boise State standout Brock Forsey has been tabbed to raise the Blue Chaos flag Saturday morning before the Broncos' home opener against UCF.
Â
Forsey finished his career (1999-2002) as the school's all-time leader with 68 touchdowns scored in his four-year career while the 32 times he reached the end zone his senior year (2002) remains a single season school record.
Â
Claiming Fourth Team All-America honors courtesy of The Sporting News following his senior campaign, Forsey finished his career on The Blue helping to guide the Broncos to a 40-10 mark, including a 24-3 record in league play. That included a 10-1 mark in Big West play over his first two seasons and a 14-2 tally in Western Athletic Conference play over his final two seasons.
Â
Forsey led the Broncos in rushing in all three bowl games the team played in during his career, including churning out 152 rushing yards in Boise State's 34-31 win over Louisville in the 1999 Humanitarian Bowl, the Broncos' first bowl win at the FBS/I-A level. He also led the team in rushing in a 38-23 win over UTEP in the 2000 Humanitarian Bowl and in a 34-16 win over Iowa State in the 2002 Humanitarian Bowl.
Â
The 2002 WAC Offensive Player of the Year, he was a two-time First Team All-WAC honoree that ran for 4,045 yards in his career, a mark that ranks third-best in school history. His 408 points scored over his career ranks second in school history.
Â
The Chicago Bears selected Forsey in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft with the 206th overall pick. He spent one season with the Bears and one season with the Miami Dolphins.
