Boise State Adds Nation’s Top Junior College Recruit to Program

Wide receiver from Kilgore is nation’s top JuCo prospect
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson boosted his 2024 recruiting class yet again Tuesday as the Broncos announced the addition of wide receiver Chris Marshall to the roster.
Marshall was listed by 247Sports as the nation's top junior college prospect for the 2024 recruiting class following an impressive season at Kilgore Junior College.
"We are excited to have Chris join our program and add some depth to our receiver corps," Danielson said. "He has tremendous speed, impressive hands and the ability to play at the next level. But more than that, he is a hard-working young man that wants to contribute to this team and win. I look forward to seeing that energy and effort out of him this spring."
The potential for on-the-field success is palpable. A former five-star, top 25 prospect out of high school, he showed his explosiveness right away at Kilgore as Marshall went for 139 yards and two touchdowns in his first game with the Rangers before sustaining an ankle injury that sidelined him for five weeks. He would return later in the season to produce several big outings – a two-touchdown performance against Tyler and a 162-yard game against Blinn – before finishing the season with 21 receptions for 449 yards and five touchdowns.
Marshall spent the 2022 season at Texas A&M before spending the Spring 2023 term at Ole Miss. He then transitioned to Kilgore where he obtained his Associate's Degree in December.
Fans can now reserve their seats for the 2024 season today by placing a deposit of just $24 down for new season tickets or renewals. The 2024 home schedule features Nevada, Oregon State, Portland State, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington State visiting The Blue as the Broncos look to become the first Mountain West program to repeat as champion since San Diego State in 2015-16.
