Broncos Fall in Overtime to Ranked Aggies

1/27/2024 6:04:00 PM | Men's Basketball

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's basketball pulled the game within two points with 33.1 seconds remaining in overtime, but couldn't find the needed basket to fall to No. 18/20 Utah State, 90-84 at ExtraMile Arena.

The Aggies scored the first six points of overtime, but Tyson Degenhart connected on a 3-pointer to pull Boise State (14-6, 5-2 MW) within two points, 84-82. The Broncos called timeout and nearly forced a turnover, but a whistle was called for a personal foul sending Utah State (18-2, 6-1 MW) to the line.

Degenhart scored 21 points after halftime and had all eight of Boise State's points in overtime.

Utah State was 6-of-6 from the free throw line the rest of the way to hold onto the six-point victory.
