COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the fifth time in six games, Ashton Jeanty has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. The Bronco tailback ran for 217 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries while catching three passes for 20 yards and a touchdown in Boise State's 28-7 win at Hawai'i.

This was Jeanty's fifth 200-yard rushing performance as a Bronco, passing Cedric Minter (1977-80) for the school record. He extended his streak of 100-yard rushing games to six, tying Brock Forsey (2002), Ian Johnson (2006-07), Jay Ajayi (2014) and Jeremy McNichols (2016) for the program record. The junior also tied Forsey's school record for career games with 200+ all-purpose yards, recording his eighth.

Jeanty scored a 54-yard touchdown in the first quarter, his ninth 50+ yard rush of the season. No FBS team has more than five. He now leads the FBS in rushing yards (1,248), rushing touchdowns (17), yards per carry (9.9), yards after contact (911) and missed tackles forced (59). He is the first five-time MW Player of the Week winner since Jordan Love, who earned the award five times with Utah State in 2018.

Boise State climbed to No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Broncos continue their MW campaign on Oct. 25, playing at UNLV at 8:30 p.m. MT.

Led by Spencer Danielson in his first full season, Boise State looks to become the first Mountain West program to win back-to-back championships since San Diego State did so in 2015-16. Achieving such a feat will put Boise State in the discussion for the new, expanded, 12-team College Football Playoff format beginning this fall. Last year, Danielson became the first coach in college football history to win a conference championship with an interim title.
