A $2 million goal has been set for the next two months
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics and the Horseshoe Collective have announced a "Going for 2" campaign to close out the 2024 calendar year as the two partners look to raise $2 million in NIL support to benefit Bronco student-athletes. The campaign has already raised $890,000 to date and features a matching $500,000 anonymous donation.
The launch of the "Going for 2" campaign is inspired by the recent NIL success of Bronco Athletics and acknowledges the key role that it has played in creating positive experiences for Bronco student-athletes.
Fans can support the "Going for 2" campaign by making a contribution at the Horseshoe Collective website. The first $500,000 in donations by Bronco Nation will unlock the matching donation by the anonymous donor. The goal is to raise $2 million by Jan. 1, 2025.
Multiple silent auction items, including Ashton Jeanty-signed authentic Nike jerseys, will be released throughout the campaign, with generated funds going toward the matching program.
"When student-athletes come to Boise State, they are here to leave a legacy," said Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State Director of Athletics. "Legends of the past have set the standard, and we continue to see current Broncos be bar raisers. It's always What's Next, and for us to remain competitive in college athletics, this campaign with the Horseshoe Collective will play an important role in the upcoming months."
"The Horseshoe Collective has positively impacted Bronco Athletics, Boise State student-athletes and the Treasure Valley community since launching, and the goal has been to continue to grow its reach in each of these areas," Joe Nickell, executive director of The Horseshoe Collective, said. "The 'Going for 2' campaign will assist in our ability to do just that heading into this next year."
Recurring monthly donations to The Horseshoe Collective that are already set up will count toward the matching goal.
