BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball has received a $1 million dollar donation, director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced today. The donor has asked to remain anonymous.

"We are so grateful to our donors for their leadership, generosity and support of our women's basketball program," said Dickey. "We continue to see growth in donor and fan support around our women's sports programs, and this gift further shows how much Bronco Nation values women's basketball. We are so thankful that these anonymous donors believe in our What's Next mentality as we compete for and win championships in women's basketball and graduate amazing Bronco student-athletes."

The donation is allocated for the women's basketball Enhancement Fund that supports strategic priorities such as recruiting, strength and conditioning, nutrition, player development, academic support services, facility maintenance and improvement, coaching staff retention, and equipment.

"It is a privilege to invest in these women, this coaching staff and program who continue to carry the proud tradition of Bronco Athletics," said the anonymous donor. "Women who play sports develop leadership skills that extend far beyond the game. They learn resilience, teamwork, and the courage to lead by example—qualities that prepare them to excel in any field. I hope this gift will continue to propel this program forward and inspire others to champion women's sports and the impact of these outstanding student-athletes."

"We are very humbled and grateful by this donation to our program," said head coach Gordy Presnell. "We are looking forward to continuing to do our part to not only develop great players on the court, but also strong leaders off of it."

Last year, attendance at Bronco women's ticketed sporting events grew by 33%. For the 2024-25 women's basketball season, reserve seats have already sold out and season ticket sales have increased by 98%.
