BOISE, Idaho – Ashton Jeanty continues to collect national honors, earning first team All-America selection from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Last night, he was the recipient of the Doak Walker Award and Maxwell Award while securing first team All-America honors from Walter Camp.

Jeanty has dominated opposing defenses this season, leading the nation in rushing yards (2,497), all-purpose yards (2,613) and total touchdowns (30). He rarely went down on the first attempt, setting College Football Playoff-era records for yards after contact (1,889) and missed tackles forced (143).

The team captain was consistent throughout the game, averaging over 104.9 rushing yards per first half played and 103.0 rushing yards per second half played. He is the first player since at least 1996 to eclipse 125 rushing yards in 13-straight games.

The Lone Star HS product faced stacked boxes all season, totaling an FBS-high 266 rushing attempts against 7+ man boxes. In those carries, he recorded 1,829 yards and 25 touchdowns. Jeanty had more rushes of 20+ yards (24) than rushes for loss (23).

This is the fourth time Boise State has had an AFCA All-American in the last six years. Punter James Ferguson-Reynolds was named to the second team in 2023. Cornerback and return specialist Avery Williams was tabbed to the first team in 2020. STUD Curtis Weaver was a second team selection in 2019. The last Bronco offensive player to earn AFCA All-America honors was offensive tackle Ryan Clady, who was named to the first team in 2007.
