Boise State Athletics Honors Student-Athlete Graduates at Ceremony

Group includes 19 undergraduate student-athletes and two graduate assistants

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Athletics is proud to announce 19 current and former student-athletes will earn degrees Saturday, as part of the 2024 Boise State University Winter Commencement at ExtraMile Arena. The group represents six different sports and the graduate assistant program. A graduation reception was held Friday, for those graduates and their families.

Boise State's student-athlete graduation reception, held biannually in May and December, honors all current and former Bronco student-athletes earning a degree from Boise State at the respective commencement. The ceremony also includes individual awards. The winners of this year's department awards are below.

Academic Excellence is awarded to the male and female student-athlete in the graduating class with the highest cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA).

* Kiersten Van Kirk, Volleyball, 3.82 cumulative GPA

* Luke Voorhees, Football, 3.95 cumulative GPA

Bronco In The Community is awarded to the student-athlete in the graduating class who has gone above and beyond in their efforts to give back.

Varsity B Honorary Captain is awarded to a student-athlete in the graduating class who displays commitment and service to the department and University beyond participation in sport.
