Heisman runner-up has been named first team All-American by 10 outlets this season

BOISE, Idaho – Ashton Jeanty earned first team All-America honors from The Sporting News, his 10th first team All-America honor of the season. The running back has also been recognized by the AFCA, AP, CBS Sports, FWAA Sports Illustrated, PFF, The Athletic, USA Today and Walter Camp.

Jeanty leads the country in rushing yards (2,497), all-purpose yards (2,613), total touchdowns (30) and points (180). He is tied for first in the country in rushing touchdowns (29) and needs 132 rushing yards to set the FBS single-season rushing record.

The team captain has eclipsed 125 rushing yards in 13-straight games, the longest FBS streak since at least 1996. He holds the Boise State career rushing records for yards (4,665), 200-yard games (8) and 100-yard games (21). Jeanty's PFF rushing grade of 97.5 is the highest single-season mark in the College Football Playoff era (since 2014).

Jeanty is the first Bronco to earn an All-America nod from The Sporting News since Avery Williams was tabbed a first team return specialist in 2020. Jay Ajayi was the last running back honored from Boise State, securing second team honors in 2014. The last offensive player to earn first team honors was Nate Potter, an offensive line selection in 2011.
