Broncos to first kickoff on The Blue on Sept. 21 with the first of six home games

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Bronco Nation got one step closer to setting their fall schedules as the 2024 Mountain West football schedule was released Thursday. The slate is highlighted by one of the best home schedules in Boise State history.

All dates are subject to change as national television partners FOX Sports and CBS Sports begin their broadcast selection process, including the shifting of particular games to non-Saturday dates. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and kickoff times.

Early season non-conference games at Georgia Southern (Aug. 31), at Oregon (Sept. 7) and against Portland State (Sept. 21) were previously announced, as were remaining opponents with home/away designations.

The Portland State game begins a stretch of three consecutive home games for the Broncos, with Washington State (Sept. 28) and Utah State (Oct. 5) visiting The Blue.

Following the three straight weeks at home, Boise State will hit the road for an Oct. 12 trip at Hawai'i, followed by a return to Sin City with a game at UNLV on Oct. 26. San Diego State visits Albertsons Stadium on Nov. 2 and Nevada will be reminded of the correct shade of blue on The Blue on Nov. 9.

Trips to San José State (Nov. 16) and Wyoming (Nov. 23) round out the Mountain West portion of the schedule before the regular season wraps up at home with a visit from Oregon State on Nov. 30.

Games against Oregon State and Washington State will not count toward the MW standings and those two squads will not be eligible to participate in the Old Trapper MW Championship. The scheduling agreement strengthens the Conference's nonconference schedule, enhances the league's national brand and expands the MW footprint.

The 2024 schedule will play out over 15 weeks, concluding with the Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship game on a date to be announced. The contest will feature the two teams with the highest Conference winning percentage.

The 2024 MW football membership includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State, UNLV, Utah State and Wyoming.
