Sydney Groves Garners Third Weekly Honor

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State sophomore Sydney Groves was named the Boise State Ford Student-Athlete of the Week, Wednesday.
Earlier in the week, she was named Mountain West Player of the Week and D1Softball National Player of the Week.
She led the Broncos to a 5-0 record batting .333 with five home runs and 16 RBI and a 1.117 slugging percentage.
Groves started a comeback against St. Thomas, March 15 with a three-run home run after the Broncos had fallen behind 5-0. Against Idaho State, she was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run.
Against Santa Clara, March 16, Groves homered twice and knocked in four runs. She blasted a grand slam in Sunday's victory over Santa Clara.
The corner infielder added two RBI in a 10-4 victory at Utah Valley, March 19. This is the second Boise State Ford Student-Athlete of the Week award for Groves this season.
