BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's golf head coach Kailin Downs announced the addition of Emily Cadwell to the program. Cadwell, a native of Boise, will return to the Treasure Valley after playing three seasons at Washington State.
"I am thrilled to have Emily as a Bronco for her final year of college golf," said Downs. "She has an impressive record and I know she will make an immediate impact as a golfer and leader."
During her time at Washington State, Cadwell played in 17 tournaments, averaging 78.37 strokes per round. She matched her career-low of 73 (+1) in the final round of the 2024 Pac-12 Championships. As a sophomore, she was named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll. In her first season with the Cougars, she fired a career-best 221 (+4) at the Badger Invitational, where she tied for 14th.
Cadwell is a graduate of Boise HS, where she won the 5A State Tournament individual title as a senior, helping her team to a runner-up finish. She also placed second as a freshman and third as a sophomore at previous state tournaments. She was a three-time participant in the Girls Junior America's Cup, garnering a second-place finish that remains the highest in Idaho history. In 2023, Cadwell finished second in the Idaho Women's Amateur.
