Broncos to host Oregon State on FOX’s Big Noon time slot on Friday, Nov. 29

BOISE, Idaho – The national television packages for the Mountain West, Big Ten and Sun Belt Conferences were announced Thursday, cementing dates and TV broadcast networks for Boise State's 2024 football schedule.

The Broncos will have 10 games airing on a FOX (FOX, FS1, FS2) network or on CBS Sports Network as part of the 49-game national television package the Mountain West announced for the 2024 football season. Boise State will also have one game scheduled for an ESPNU broadcast and another on Peacock.

Thursday's announcement also witnessed three Boise State games for the upcoming season get moved to Friday for national television broadcasts. In all, the MW had 10 games shift to Friday as part of the league's national television package.

Boise State's 2024 season will begin with back-to-back road games, starting with an Aug. 31 contest at Georgia Southern on ESPNU that will kickoff at 4 p.m. ET/2 p.m. MT. The Broncos will then travel west to play at Oregon on Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT on Peacock.

The first game at Albertsons Stadium will kickoff at 7:45 p.m. on FS1 when the Broncos host Portland State. The next two games, also at home, feature visits by Washington State (Sept. 28) and Utah State (Oct. 5) and will air on one of the FOX Sports networks. FOX Sports kick times and outlets will be determined during the regular season (generally a 12-day window).

A pair of Mountain West road games will be on CBS Sports Network and come sandwiched around a bye week. Boise State will play at Hawai'i on Saturday, Oct. 12 with a 9 p.m. MT/5 p.m. HT kickoff before the Broncos' first Friday night contest of the season on Oct. 25 with an 8:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. PT kick at UNLV in a rematch of last year's MW Championship Game.

Boise State returns to the gridiron for another Friday night under the lights of Albertsons Stadium when San Diego State visits on Friday, Nov. 1 with a 6 p.m. kickoff on FS1 before Nevada visits on Saturday, Nov. 9 with the kickoff time and FOX Sports network to be announced.

Another pair of road MW games air on CBS Sports Network and will kickoff at 5 p.m. MT/4 p.m. PT with tilts at San José State on Nov. 16 and at Wyoming on Nov. 23.

The regular season wraps up in Boise with the Broncos appearing on Black Friday's version of FOX's Big Noon Game as the Broncos host Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 29 on FOX with kickoff set for 10 a.m. MT/Noon ET. The Friday kickoff on The Blue makes the Broncos one of five MW programs to play on that date, perhaps giving Boise State an extra day's rest before the MW Championship Game, which is set for Friday, Dec. 6 with a 6 p.m. MT kickoff on FOX.

COMING TO ALBERTSONS STADIUM THIS FALL
Led by Spencer Danielson in his first full season, Boise State looks to become the first Mountain West program to win back-to-back championships since San Diego State did so in 2015-16. Achieving such a feat will put Boise State in the discussion for the new, expanded, 12-team College Football Playoff format beginning this fall. Last year, Danielson became the first coach in college football history to win a conference championship with an interim title.
