COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State men's golfer Cole Rueck was named to the All-Mountain West team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Rueck is the fifth Bronco golfer to earn all-conference honors in the Mountain West era – this is the fourth all-conference honor since 2021 following Skyler Eubank (2021) and Hugo Townsend (2021-22).

The sophomore won the Mountain West individual title this season thanks to a 7-under 209 at the Mountain West Men's Golf Championships, April 26-28, at the Emerald Valley Golf Course in Creswell, Ore. Rueck carded back-to-back rounds of 68 to end the tournament which included a 27-hole streak of bogey-free golf.

Rueck's victory at the Mountain West championship is the fourth time a Bronco golfer has won the conference individual title.

With three top 10 finishes this season, which does not include co-medalist honors at the Battle for Idaho dual against Idaho, Rueck averaged 71.76 strokes per round – good for the 10th-lowest single-season scoring average in program history. The Corvallis, Ore., native finished in the top 10 at the Island Resort Intercollegiate (10th), Palmetto Intercollegiate (sixth) and the Mountain West Championships (first).

Rueck's spring season opened with a victory at the Genesis Collegiate Showcase which earned him an exemption to the Scottish Open in July. He is one of two Mountain West golfers to earn an at-large spot at next week's NCAA Regional round, where he will compete at the Stanford Regional, May 13-15.
