NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Boise State safety Alexander Teubner was one of 178 student-athletes recognized as a nominee for the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, the organization announced, Wednesday.

Teubner, a native of Seaside, Ore., was an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West selection in 2023. He recorded 10 tackles, a TFL and a forced fumble in the MW Championship, earning Defensive MVP and helping the Broncos to their fifth MW title.  He was tabbed Preseason All-MW Third Team by Athlon Sports.

The graduate student also boasts a collection of academic accolades, including College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete. In April, he was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

Teubner has volunteered at various local schools throughout his career, as well as St. Luke's Children Hospital, Boise Rescue Mission and the Idaho Food Bank. He served as a game captain four times during the 2023 season and received a bachelor's degree in finance in December.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football athletes for their unwavering commitment to community service and their "good works" off the field. Nominees are eligible for the Wuerffel Trophy, awarded annually to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership and performance on and off the field.
