Boise State Athletics Announces $20.8 Million Raised for the Year

Third consecutive year department has met or surpassed goals
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics has raised $20.8 million in total support during the 2024 fiscal year director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Thursday. This is the third consecutive year the department has met or exceeded the benchmark, following record setting years in 2022 and 2023.
"We are so grateful for the ongoing investment from Bronco Nation," said Dickey. "Our thanks to the members of the Lyle Smith Society, Bronco Athletic Association, season-ticket holders and one-time gift donors, who believe in the vision to position every Bronco sport program for long and short-term success. With the recent launch of the sales process for the North End Zone Project, we are building out even more opportunities for you to demonstrate your support to ensure the health of Bronco Athletics and our future success!"
Last fall, Dickey announced a $150 million fundraising goal for the Athletics pillar of the Unbridled campaign, which runs through 2028. The priorities of the Athletics pillar include facility upgrades and enhanced programming to support the whole student-athlete.
Fundraising highlights for the year include the following.
* 12% growth in donors
* 24 new Lyle Smith Society members for a total of 250
* Three new commitments of $1 million
*Seven Lyle Smith Society members renewed and/or increased their investment
* Since the launch in 2020, Lyle Smith Society has raised more than $30 million with 150 first-time major gift donors
"Bronco Nation, your support empowered the 350+ Bronco student-athletes to bring home eight team and individual conference championships, secure the best combined total attendance in the Mountain West Conference, post the department's best cumulative grade point average in school history (spring 2024), and complete 50 different facility and capital projects," said Dickey.
The announcement follows Wednesday's report from the Boise State Foundation with another record breaking year in philanthropic support totaling $61.3 million.
The Lyle Smith Society is a leadership giving group to support Boise State Athletics. It was established to increase philanthropic revenues, providing consistent funding for scholarships, operational needs and capital projects.
