HEI2MAN candidate Ashton Jeanty leads the way with second team honors

BOISE, Idaho – Preseason honors continued to roll in for Boise State on Monday as four Broncos were named to Athlon's Preseason All-America Teams. Running back Ashton Jeanty led the way for the Blue and Orange with second team honors.

In addition to Jeanty, Jonah Dalmas was named to the third team while Ahmed Hassanein and James Ferguson-Reynolds received fourth team accolades.

It marked the second preseason All-America recognition for Jeanty, Ferguson-Reynolds and Hassanein as the trio were named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-America Teams last week.

Boise State's four preseason All-America honorees by Athlon matches the rest of the Mountain West as the league received eight honors in all. Also listed were wide receivers Troy Horton (Colorado State), Jalen Royals (Utah State) and Ricky White III (UNLV) and punt returner Jacob DeJesus (UNLV).

The four Bronco selections is also more than the rest of the Group of 5 (G5) leagues combined as the only other G5 selections were offensive lineman Clay Webb (Jacksonville State), linebacker Jason Henderson (Old Dominion) and wide receiver Sean Atkins (South Florida).
