BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics received a $1 million gift designated to support the Boise State football program director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Thursday. The donor has requested to remain anonymous.
"On behalf of our 350+ student-athletes, who benefit from every dollar raised, we thank the donor for building on our momentum and starting the new academic year with a huge investment in Bronco Athletics," said Dickey. "We are incredibly fortunate to have all of Bronco Nation recognize and support our athletics programs' pursuit of excellence, and this gift continues to move us in the right direction. Everything counts as we work hard to find ways to do more and build with even more resources from every level of our incredible fans and alumni."
Last fall, Dickey announced a $150 million fundraising goal for the Athletics pillar of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State University, the most ambitious philanthropic and alumni engagement campaign in the university's history, which runs through 2028. The priorities of the Athletics pillar include facility upgrades and enhanced programming to support the whole student-athlete.
This is the fourth $1M gift Bronco Athletics has received since the public launch of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State last fall. Since the launch of the Lyle Smith Society (LSS) in 2020, the department has received 15 gifts of $1M or more from a total of 10 different individuals or families. To date, the LSS has raised more than $30 million for Boise State Athletics.
