Jeanty Adds Doak Walker Award Watch List Honor to Collection

All-American among 87 candidates for nation’s top award for running backs
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State junior Ashton Jeanty collected another preseason honor on Tuesday, earning a spot on the 2024 Doak Walker Award Preseason Watch List. The Doak Walker Award is presented annually to the nation's top running back.
Jeanty ran for 112.3 yards per game in 2023, ranking seventh in the country. His total of 1,347 rushing yards placed him first in the Mountain West and 11th in the NCAA despite missing two full games. The Lone Star (Texas) High School product scored 14 of his 19 touchdowns on the ground and tallied 981 yards after contact. He surpassed the 200-yard mark on two occasions and ran for multiple scores four times.
Jeanty is also included on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Award, both given to the most outstanding player in the country. Four organizations have tabbed him preseason All-America and he was selected MW Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Last year, he earned six All-America nods and was named MW Offensive Player of the Year.

One package includes home games against Oregon State, San Diego State and Portland State, another includes Washington State, Oregon State and San Diego State while a third option includes home games against Washington State, San Diego State and Nevada. Haven't found a ticket package that suits your needs yet? Fans can now get their single-game tickets for the highly anticipated 2024 season now for as low as $25. While the season ticket packages, flex passes and mini-plans offer the best seats available, single-game tickets are still a great option to get out to see the Broncos on The Blue this fall. Led by Spencer Danielson in his first full season, Boise State looks to become the first Mountain West program to win back-to-back championships since San Diego State did so in 2015-16. Achieving such a feat will put Boise State in the discussion for the new, expanded, 12-team College Football Playoff format beginning this fall. Last year, Danielson became the first coach in college football history to win a conference championship with an interim title.
