BOISE, Idaho – For the third time this season, Ashton Jeanty has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. The junior running back carried the ball 26 times for 259 yards and four touchdowns, leading nationally-ranked Boise State to a 45-24 win over Washington State.

On the game's opening drive, Jeanty ran for a 64-yard touchdown, his fourth 60-plus yard run of the season. He scored on a 14-yard run in the second quarter, then scampered for a 59-yard score in the fourth quarter. He finished with a 2-yard touchdown, putting his season total at an FBS-high 13.

Jeanty recorded 234 yards after contact, forcing 17 missed tackles. This was his fourth-career game rushing for over 200 yards, tying Cedric Minter (1977-80) for the program record. The HEI2MAN candidate currently leads the country in rushing yards (845) and yards per carry (10.3). Boise State moved up to 21st in the latest AP poll.

Led by Spencer Danielson in his first full season, Boise State looks to become the first Mountain West program to win back-to-back championships since San Diego State did so in 2015-16. Achieving such a feat will put Boise State in the discussion for the new, expanded, 12-team College Football Playoff format beginning this fall. Last year, Danielson became the first coach in college football history to win a conference championship with an interim title.
